We combined Sri Lanka’s medicinal pollen rich Gold bee honey (with its smooth buttery consistency) with real mango pulp with a hint of rich green Sri Lankan Cardamom. Goodfolks Pure Bee Honey and Mango Spread is made from 100% pure, filtered, unheated Sri Lankan Ayurvedic Gold Bee Honey from Sri Lanka’s Sabaragamuwa Region. We use seasonally available varieties of organic Mango (because it is the right thing to do) and organic cardamom powder.
Ingredients
Pure Bee Honey: The predominant ingredient here is the Dark Medicinal Bee Honey from Sri Lanka’s Dry Zone. It is a multi-floral bee honey believed to include the goodness of a myriad medicinal plants that grow in the area. The honey has a faint bitter note that works well with this spread. The honey is 100% pure, filtered, unheated and sourced under our Regenerative Agriculture Project that has completely eliminated the need to venture into forests in search of honey (which is a destructive, extractive model).
Seasonally available Mango – We use a mix of seasonally available -organic grade mango (Karthakolomban, TJC and Rata-Amba) in pulp form.
Agar Agar: A natural vegetable gelatin derived from seaweed. It is commonly used as a gelling agent in food preparation.
Arrow Root Powder: Added as a thickening agent and to maintain consistency of the spread.
Organic Green Cardamom Powder: To elevate the flavours with the mysterious magic of this famous Sri Lankan spice.
