Ayubowan and welcome to Goodfolks.shop Online Store which will be henceforth referred to as the ‘Site’. This site is owned and operated by Goodfolks (Private) Limited, a company registered under the Sri Lanka Company’s Act and bearing Registration No. PV00221811.  Please read these terms and conditions carefully before continuing to use this site. By using the Website you are fully accepting the terms, conditions and disclaimers contained in this notice. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you must immediately stop using the Website.

We may change these terms at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by us. Your continued use of this site, after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended. Throughout this site, the terms “we”, “us”, “our”, “Company”, refers to, “Goodfolks Private Limited” and any of its affiliated companies .“You” refers to any person accessing and/or using this website.

More about ‘you’

  • You must be of years 16 or older to shop on our website
  • Own a credit/debit card or any other legally accepted payment method that you are authorised to use
  • You are capable of understanding and accept that some of the claims made on certain products have not been scientifically proven and will use them as per your doctor’s recommendations.

Placing an order

The ordering option available to you are via goodfolks.shop.

Once you have placed your order, if you have supplied us with your email address, you will receive an email confirmation. If for any reason we are unable to fulfill your order, we will let you know at the earliest opportunity. If we have already received payment for such an order, we will attempt to refund the applicable amount using the same method used to make the payment. If, for any reason, alternative arrangements are necessary, we will notify you and ask you to contact Goodfolks Customer Service who will help you with the settlement of the refund.

When you place an order, you should receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your order. We then carry out a standard pre-authorisation check to make sure the card is eligible for online shopping.

We only accept your order once the payment has been approved and we have debited the payment card.

You may be able to cancel (not change) your order within a short period of ordering – timings depend on your chosen delivery method (and will be set out in the acknowledgement email).

You can’t change your order – you’ll need to cancel (and/or return original item(s)), and re-order.

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. Don’t worry, if there’s an issue with an order, Goodfolks will get in touch with you.

Very occasionally, we may need to refuse or cancel an order or close or freeze an account (even if we have previously confirmed your order) – e.g. if we notice something unusual on an order or an account. If this happens to you and you think we’ve made a mistake, please get in touch with us with 0776808444

Overseas orders: some of the countries subject to have food restrictions, we Goodfolks will not accountable for such returns,

 

Product pricing

The product prices may change from time to time due to seasonality of raw materials or changes beyond our control. Almost all our products are sourced from micro and small industries and these prices also include a premium that benefit them.

However we may incorrectly mark prices due to errors on our part and in such cases we will cancel the order and make a full refund, after explaining the reasons behind the cancellation.

All products are shipped from Sri Lanka and as such include only the price of the product. Delivery charges will be clearly communicated at the point of adding to cart. Taxes, custom fees and any other charges that may apply at the port of destination are NOT included. However, these are indicated wherever possible so you are fully aware of the final price.

 

Lag between purchase and shipping

You may notice that some of our products are made to order and we are happy to accommodate customisation. This is marked and indicated for such products. The duration between payment and dispatch for such products will be communicated and your consent received before the transaction is processed and you are charged. All other products are dispatched within 24-48 hours of payment receipt

 

Delivery fees

Delivery fees will apply for all orders and will be clearly indicated so you will see a total price with all charges at the point of checkout. Bulk orders can be accomodated separately so do get in touch with us on 0776808444 to discuss further.

 

Return Policy

We understand that sometimes you may not be happy with the product you purchased but we are happy to refund the price of the product (excluding shipping) in full or replace it with another product of your choice. Costs associated with the shipping of the replacement product must also be borne by you.

All products being returned for refund or replacement must be sent to our Head Office in Colombo (provided as the contact us address) to reach us within 28 days of purchase, along with a copy of the purchase voucher.

We will not replace or refund any food products or perishable goods (listed under Goodfolks Kitchen or Goodfolks Pantry), even if they have not been opened.

Items on sale or items that have been discounted or offered as part of a promotion cannot be replaced or refunded.

 

Payment methods

You can pay for your goods in various ways as set out below.

Credit card or debit card

You can enter your payment details at the time you place your order using a valid credit or debit card (VISA or Mastercard). The applicable amount will be debited when you have placed your order in the checkout. Goodfolks reserves the right to check the validity of the credit or debit card, its credit status in relation to the order value and whether the address data of the purchaser is correct. We may refuse orders depending on the result of these checks.

Cash on Delivery

You may choose to pay by cash on delivery upon receipt of the goods, without any additional charges.

You will receive the legally required invoice document in the Shipping Confirmation e-mail.

 

Promo Codes

From time to time, we may give you Promo Codes that you can use to reduce the price of specified products. Remember, it’s up to you to enter the code at checkout!

Each Promo Code has its own terms, which will be made clear at the time it’s issued to you. If you’re given a unique Promo Code please keep it secret and don’t let anyone else use it or abuse it (e.g. don’t post it on social media). If we think there is or has been misuse of a Promo Code in any way (e.g. selling it or sharing it with others), we can cancel your Promo Code and/or suspend or even close your account without telling you.

We reserve the right to cancel, modify or suspend the Promo Code.

Intellectual property

Goodfolks owns or has permission to use the intellectual property rights in its Website and its content. These rights are ‘protected and reserved’ around the world.

Content on this site can be stored, printed or displayed only if it is for your personal use. You are not allowed to use any part of the Website for commercial purposes unless you have our express permission.

You are strictly prohibited from using the Goodfolks logo, Goodfolks brand or any trademark without our express permission.

 

Linking to Goodfolks website

You may link to goodfolks.shop as long as you do so in a way that is not-commercial, is fair and legal, and doesn’t damage or take advantage of our reputation.

Please don’t link in a way that suggests any form of approval or endorsement by Goodfolks where none exists.

Our Website must not be framed on any other site without our permission.

Changes to these terms and conditions

We have the right to amend, remove or vary our services and/or any part of the Website (including our Ts&Cs) at any time.

 

User Generated Content

We may at our discretion reach out to you or decide to feature your content on our social media channels.  This will be for content that you have shared with us or included a hashtag that directs to us. In such instances we reserve the right to use your handle and the content on our website and our social media channels. We may at our discretion edit, crop, adapt, enhance or modify the Content.

You promise that you:

  • have the permission of everyone in the Content;
  • have the right to grant Goodfolks the above rights; and
  • are at least 16 years of age

If you (or anyone in the Content) asks us to remove the Content, we will remove the Content from the social media accounts that we control.

If you do not want to grant the permissions set out above then please do not give us consent to use the Content.
